On October 14, 2007 an opportunity of a lifetime was presented to Cassie Shore, as she was crowned Miss Wyoming USA 2008. Overwhelmed with joy and excitement, Cassie stood on stage experiencing a dream come true. As a native of Wyoming, Cassie is very honored and excited to be representing her state throughout her rein.

“This truly is a blessing and a wonderful opportunity!” exclaimed Cassie after being crowned.

Cassie is a 21 year-old senior at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. She is attending the University of Wyoming on the presidential academic scholarship. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biology with an emphasis in medicine. Cassie plans to attend medical school to fulfill her dream of becoming a surgeon. Cassie has always had aspirations to work with children born with deformities and burn victims.

Cassie has been involved with numerous volunteer organizations, some of which include; Coats for Kids, coaching youth volleyball teams, and reading with children at elementary schools. Some of the volunteer work that Cassie is most proud of are delivering meals to seniors through the Senior Epson Center of Laramie and rebuilding homes in Gulf Port, Mississippi through Hurricane Katrina Relief Organizations.

When Cassie is not focused on school she enjoys spending time with her loving and supportive family. She appreciates every minute she is able to spend with her family and friends. Cassie loves spending summers at the lake; wakeboarding, waterskiing, tubing, and just soaking up the sun! In addition, Cassie is also an avid athlete, excelling in volleyball, basketball, and track.

As Miss Wyoming USA 2008, Cassie hopes to reach out to the youth as a positive role model. “Always believe in yourself.” is Cassie’s motto in life and hopes to share this message with the people of Wyoming. She also hopes to represent Wyoming as it deserves to be, and make her state proud at the Miss USA pageant this spring.
