Dreams do come true. Taylor has proven that all things are possible with hard work and dedication.
She started out as an early dreamer with goals that some would consider unrealistic. Her motivation for success started out at a young age competing in different athletic activities. After high school, Taylor set her goals towards fulfilling a different dream: becoming a professional model. Just one year out of high school, Taylor signed with the world-renowned modeling agency Ford Models.
Her dream of becoming Miss SD USA started at a young age as well. After competing in Miss SD Teen USA three years in a row and being named in the top five each year, the ultimate goal of being crowned Miss SD Teen USA eluded her.
After taking a year off, Taylor continued the pursuit of being crowned Miss SD USA.
This time, she was leaving nothing to chance.
Taylor wrote down her goal and exactly how she was going to achieve it. She constantly revisited that goal to make sure she was on track. Hard work and dedication pay off. On October 9, 2011, Taylor was crowned Miss SD USA 2012.
This opportunity has truly been a dream-come true.
Taylor plans to put forth that same effort and goal-oriented attitude in preparation for Miss USA. She is so honored to represent the wonderful state of South Dakota.
Whatever may lie ahead in Taylor’s journey as Miss SD USA, she is going to “go get it”. Period.
