Halloween may become one of Courtney Carter’s favorite holidays. Halloween weekend 2009 marked the start of a new chapter for Courtney who was crowned Miss Colorado Teen USA 2010. Courtney competed against 52 other amazing teens for the Colorado title. She lives in Thornton, Colorado with her parents Kirk and Britt Carter and her siblings, Ryan, McKenna and Jadon.
Courtney is a senior at Mountain Range High School in Westminster, Colorado, and will graduate in May of 2010. She is currently applying to colleges and looks forward to pursuing the next chapter in her life. The sky’s the limit for Courtney, and while she explores her career path options, she ultimately hopes that she inspires others to be their best.
The 2010 pageant was Courtney’s first pageant experience. She applied to compete in the pageant less than two months prior to the big day. At 18-years old, Courtney has a competitive spirit and has been competing in swimming, lacrosse, and soccer for many years. Courtney saw the Miss Colorado Teen USA pageant as an opportunity to broaden her competitive resume.
“It was a lot of fun meeting the girls at the pageant. When I was crowned I realized that anything was possible when you believe in yourself.”
When Courtney is not participating in sports, working, or spending time with her family of six, she enjoys looking for opportunities to give back to the community she loves. Some of her favorite things to do include hanging out with friends, practicing yoga, shopping and snow skiing.
Adding the prestigious title of Miss Colorado Teen USA 2010 to Courtney’s list of accomplishments is an honor and she is expectant and excited about the many ways she will contribute to the lives of others as the 2010 reigning queen.
